The innovative design concept enables Greencasting temperature controllers
to control the temperature of the die-casting moulds completely.

With regard to aluminium, the liquid injected is at a temperature of approximately 700 °C and the temperature of the mould can easily reach and exceed 400 °C.
Injection or casting is carried out quickly and the cooling system must be extremely reactive in order to prevent temperature shifts of the mould, which would cause wear or breaks.
Traditional temperature control envisages:
Constant circulation of a fluid in the mould at a set temperature, both in the pre-heating and production phase
- Traditional oil-cooled temperature controllers can reach up to 350°C without any problems of high pressure. However, if circulation of oil in the mould is not sufficient, cracking problems may occur with solidification of the oil and thus resulting in clogging of the cooling channels.
- Traditional water-cooled temperature controllers at max 200°C can reach this maximum temperature. Circulation problems or thermal shocks can create vapours inside the circuit and damage pumps or other components.
- Traditional temperature controllers are not “multi-zone”; they are always fitted with a pump for each temperature control area.
The innovative PATENTED Greencasting temperature controller system envisages:
Constant circulation of water at a specific max temperature of 180°C inside the mould during the pre-heating phase.
Circulating water at a temperature lower than 90°C inside the mould only during certain phases of the moulding cycle (production).
The Greencasting temperature controller is a Multi-zone temperature controller.
Connection to a pneumatic valve manifold device on the mould controlled by the temperature controller PLC enables differential temperature control for each circuit.
The manifold modules comprise 10 valves that correspond to as many circuits.
Each temperature controller can be connected to a maximum of 20 circuits.
The completely new (patented) cooling system ensures minimum energy consumption.
